Hallelujah! Joe Gets it Right.
Hello everybody! I have to say I almost fell out of my chair when I read this article by Joe Lieberman! Joe has said it better that most so-called Republicans this time! Go to this site, and check out what he has to say. http://www.opinionjournal.com/editorial/feature.html?id=110007611

Operation Helmet
Hello, everybody! I want to take this opportunity to plea for a worthy cause to support our troops this Christmas. The current standard issue Kevlar helmet that our soldiers are given fits loosely with a lot of wiggle room,(I had one that actually fell over my eyes most of the time.) and will rock violently when given an impact, and even if the helmet stops a bullet, the resulting blunt force trauma can kill or permanently disable the soldier wearing it with intra cranial bleeding. The government has slated their replacement with a better design over the next eighteen months. That's good, but may be too little too late for the soldier serving in a war zone.

The President Missed the Point
Hello everybody! Did anyone hear about the 130 light poles that have been stolen? Apparently, they've been cut off at the bottom and hauled away to an unknown location without anyone witnessing the theft. I wonder what they are being used for...

Saddam Tries For the Insanity Plea...
Awww, poor Saddam. How the mighty have fallen!
Saddam complained at his most recent court trial that the elevator was broken and that he had to actually use the stairs, thus leaving us to decide wether he is too good or too weak to use the stairs, or both. He also complained about how hard it was to carry the Quaran while handcuffed, and then yelled at the judge not to tell the guards what to do, but to order them, because he is Iraqi and has sovernity. What? I thought that at his last hearing, he didn't recognize the court's authority because he had sovernity, and the court and judge were little more than an American farce. Saddam must be going for the insanity plea. I am just amazed that a man on trail for GENOCIDE would have the stones to complain about having to climb a couple of flights of stairs, and he's lucky he even has a copy of his quaran available. After all, don't American troops amuse themselves primarily with flushing it down the toilet? Oh, wait a minute, that was yet another, shall we say, embellished Newsweek story.(I'd love to have a toilet capable of flushing a Quaran or even pieces of it. I'd never have to plunge again!)
On another note, did anyone see the video of the people storming Wal-Mart on black Friday? I wonder what was in that store that was worth knocking down a little old lady? Answer: nothing! Now people are saying that it was Wal-Mart's fault for not having adequate security. NO, it's YOUR fault for acting like animals! I can say that if I were the store manager, profit be damned, those registers would close and everyone would be kicked out, the doors locked, and only then would I reopen. You couldn't buy publicity like Wal-Mart would get for demanding decency!
I'll bet Shalana body-checked someone that day while buying her holiday gifts...

Black Friday
Hi Everybody! It is Black Friday, and all the insane people have been up for hours now body checking each other for the best price on a pair of ugly shoes or a plastic toy. Honestly, can anyone think of a good reason to get up at 0400 and stand in 10 degree weather (yep, ten degrees where I live) for some sale which will not save you that much money anyway? Yikes!

Unwed Teacher Gets Canned
So how about the Catholic schoolteacher who was just canned for being pregnant outside of wedlock? Kudos to the school, I say. According to one story, she signed a contract stating that she would behave in a manner both professionaly and personaly that would reflect and uphold the tennants of the Church. The last time I checked, premarital sex is a big no-no in just about every religion, except maybe those freaky Unitarians.

CHRISTmas
Hello everybody! Well, I know it's not even Thanksgiving yet, but I'm going to have to go on a rant about Christmas. First off, the commercialization is sickening. The local mall actually had Christmas decorations out two weeks before Halloween, and Santa has now been at the mall for nearly three weeks. I don't know about you, but if I took my kids to see Santa now, I'm pretty sure they'll have changed thier minds about what they asked for and will need a return trip. All I can say is there is no way I'm standing in line twice to see the fat man. Besides, and most importantly, Christmas is supposed to be about the birth of Christ, not presents and a mall sale frenzy!

Saturday with the Family
Hello everyone! Today my husband took the family out to the Newport Aquarium, and it was an absolute blast! I put the baby in the carrier and Dave (hubby) pushed the stroller with our son, and our oldest walked. It was very pretty, capturing the attention not only of the children but also the adults with the underwater 'tunnels' that one can walk through. Watching the shark feeding was pretty cool, too. Apparently the sharkray is about as smart as a dog and can be taught hand cues signaling mealtime, ect.

Mish- Mosh
Hello, bloggers! I have surmised that the new Democratic saying should be,"Ask what your country can do for you, and whine about your country." I swear if I hear one more pundit start in on 'Bush lied' my head might explode.

Jordainian Homicide Bombings
I was just reflecting on how horrendous and soulless an organization Al-Quaida is. The Jordainian homicide bomber's wife apparantly couldn't get her belt to detonate, and appeared on television to make a statement to the experience. To think that a woman, a natural nurturer, could walk in and see the children at that hotel, there for a wedding, and would still try to kill innocents. Also, it is appaling that a man or a woman Muslim would blaspheme a wedding, the joining of two before God. I know that pro-terrorists are always saying that in principle, one would not kill the innocent. In principle... I dread the day I have to stand before God and explain why I buried my principles along with countless innocents. I think the average Muslim will soon start to give these killers what they deserve, and it must come from the true muslim. They must have their version of Martain Luther,a hero to drive out of Islam the cancer of the extremist, for if anyone deserves jihad, it is the terrorist.

Sunday Morn'in
Hello. I'm going to write now, as although we are all feeling much better, we didn't go to church today so the kids could rest a little more, and I also don't want to accidentally get the whole church nursery sick.

There is Something Worse Than the Grocery Store...

The Grocery Store Must Be Purgatory...
Hi! Better late than never!
Today I participated in a product research study. I had to sign a confidentiality waver, so I can't say what it was for. After that I bought my Grandma lunch for watching the kids, which is hard for her, so I want her to know that I appreciate it. Then, I went on to the grocery store with just the baby and my two year old, because my oldest wanted to spend the night with Grandma.
So, at the store, I decide to let Connor walk next to the cart. Yeah, right. I think that the shelves are stocked so that the most breakable stuff is right within the toddler's reach. I usually make him wear one of those wonderful toddler harnesses, or my husband graciously goes with me, or watches the kids.
Let's just say that we're going back to the toddler harness.
On another note, I am fed up with the Republican party right now. I hate to say it, but I think that the pendulum is swining the other way come the next election. I just cannot belive that with a Republican dominated Senate and a Republican President that they can't seem to accomplish anything the people want. Instead of drilling ANWAR and the east coast offshore, we give that up to please speacial interest enviromentalists. They backed way off of tax cuts because, hey, its election time soon, and we don't want to piss off the purse strings. If I had voted in a Democrat, at least I would have known what I had coming...
Republicats. The whole federal goverment is dissolving into a one-party cesspool.
