Hello everybody! Well, I know it's not even Thanksgiving yet, but I'm going to have to go on a rant about Christmas. First off, the commercialization is sickening. The local mall actually had Christmas decorations out two weeks before Halloween, and Santa has now been at the mall for nearly three weeks. I don't know about you, but if I took my kids to see Santa now, I'm pretty sure they'll have changed thier minds about what they asked for and will need a return trip. All I can say is there is no way I'm standing in line twice to see the fat man. Besides, and most importantly, Christmas is supposed to be about the birth of Christ, not presents and a mall sale frenzy!

Another thing that skeeves me; the terming of everything as holiday. When polled, 80% of American families classify themselves as Christian. So say Christmas, you're only upseting a few liberal whiners anyway. And you know what, if a Muslim said something about Ramadan, I wouldn't be angry. If a Jewish person said Happy Haunaka to me, cool. I'm not offended. Even Merry Kwanza is okay, even though Kwanza is made up and totally fake, but that's a blog entry I'll get into later. The person who jumps down your throat and corrects you if you dare to say Merry Christmas just has bad manners. Period.

Did you know that Lowe's is selling Holiday trees? I'm not sure how Holiday trees are different from Christmas trees. I guess they are a pc alternitive foliage.
