The President Missed the Point
Hello everybody! Did anyone hear about the 130 light poles that have been stolen? Apparently, they've been cut off at the bottom and hauled away to an unknown location without anyone witnessing the theft. I wonder what they are being used for...
On to the main course. Don't' get me wrong; I'm a staunch conservative. I am sure, however, that anyone else with who heard the President's speech yesterday must have went away from it with a sour taste in their mouths, as I did. I am so sick of hearing about the 'guest worker' program! It will not work for this reason: Anyone here for three plus years will almost undoubtably have a child, and this country will not deport a underage citizen's parent. Every illegal knows this. If the President really wanted to boost his approval ratings he would come out with an immigration plan a bit like this:
No more immigration whatsoever for five years. This will allow us to fix current problems with the system. Now, that being done, a wall will be built along both the southern and northern boarders, and we're talking a wall like what ran through the middle of Berlin, not some wussy fence. Next, that wall will be manned by a boarder guard. (Think coast guard, but on land.) The INS will be reformed to deal strictly with actual immigrants and the deportation of illegal aliens;no more guard duty for them.
Now that everything is closed up, the president would pressure congress to amend the law that lets the aforementioned illegal parents to be deported no matter where their child is born. They may have the option of taking the child with them or letting it stay here and be put up for adoption. If they take the child with them it has the right to return at age 18 and apply for accelerated citizenship. No bleeding heart liberal Shalana B.S. about tearing families apart; they should have thought about the consequences of their actions first.
Once the law has been amended, the immediate and total deportation of all illegals will commence. I figure all of this to take about five years, so now we can allow people to begin to apply legally.
I think that we must protect our boarders, NOW!!! The American people have had enough.

Because we have so many illegals here, it will be hell to round them all up.
Now as a conservative and Primarily as a constitutionalist, there seems to be a status quo.
How do we find them without violalting our own laws?
I would suggest that we follow and enforce our laws that are already active.
Pursue those that harbor and give aid or hire illegal persons with penalties that may include inprisonment.
No exceptions to the rules to enclude farm workers to household servants.
Can you imagine how many politicians and elitist will be clearing their houses of their maids and gardeners?
With that the amnesty law takes effect allowing the illegal to return home without prosecution and apply for a legal Visa which is cheaper than paying a Coyoty (Smuggler) to get them across again.
Now Rosa and Jose can return to america, work as they did before and contribute through taxation to that which is given to them.
All the freedoms and rights of America.
Sounds like a plan to me.

Would it be violating our own law if they aren't citizens? Seems to me the constitution should only apply to those who are here legally. Sort of the Gitmo type thing.
