There He Goes Again...

Pulling yet another nutty during his trial yesterday, Saddam complained of American forces of beating him "everywhere" on his body. "The marks are still there", he claimed. Of course, this is untrue, as he hasn't any marks or wounds, and according to the judge, "The defendants receive complete and very good health care by the authorities in charge of the detention. No ordinary Iraqi receives this kind of care."

I'm sure that the people in his jails who lost all of their family and had their skin peeled away in chunks of molten plastic sympathize.

All of these theatrics took place during the portion of the trial that would have allowed Saddam to cross-examine the witnesses.

Then, Saddam's half brother attempted to discredit the prosecutor by accusing him of being a member of the Baath party. The prosecutor responded by saying that it was the biggest insult he had ever received.

Saddam is crazy like a fox. The judge in charge of this trial needs to take the reigns and put an end to Saddam's childish behavior. We'll just have to wait until January 24th to see what happens next.
