Update on the Cincinnati Mosque Bombing, Part I
As reported earlier, the Mosque in the Clifton neighborhood of Cincinnati was bombed late Tuesday night. FBI workers are still trying to determine what types of bombs were used in the explosions, which resulted in moderate damage to the building. No person or group has claimed responsibility thus far.
Meanwhile, local religious leaders are calling the act a hate crime, and Muslim leaders want to know who would harbor such malice toward them. They claim there is no opposition between them and other Muslim sects in the area. Local Catholic and Jewish leaders are standing in solidarity with the Islamic Center. I have to wonder why Imams do not condemn the persecution of Jews and Christians...
The Islamic Center has remained open, instructing worshipers to use the side door. They have also issued an open invitation to all faiths to come to a prayer service being held tonight at 20:00.
