One For The What The... File
In New Delhi, a seven-year-old girl was wed to a stray dog (yep, you read it right) in order to satisfy a ritual to ward off the 'evil eye' on her and her family.
Her family belongs to the Santhal ethnic group, and when Shivam Munda's upper teeth came in before her lower teeth, they considered it a bad omen.
Her father said she married the dog only to "remove the evil eye", and she would be free to marry a man later. The marriage celebrations lasted three days.
So what the HECK does marrying a stray dog have to do with removing curses? And how do baby teeth curse an entire family?
AAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!
