V For, Well, Not For Vendetta...

@ 06:42 PM (43 months, 14 days ago)
Today was the big day! My hubby, in his mercy, went to the hospital and went under the knife.

He had a Vasectomy.

No more little 'uns for us (providing no foul-ups of Katrina magnitude in the next couple of months...); after three anklebiters we have decided to call it quits on the child-producing front, much to the glee of millardo, who has called yours truly a bad parent on more than one occasion, simply for my right-leaning political viewpoint.

All trolls aside, when it comes to babies, we are pleased to wait about 25 years for grandkids, and in the case of our daughters, about 35.

  1. aaaah - I'm sad to hear you've stopped the mass production of little neo-cons but I understand. We thought we were done twice before and never could quite (thankfully) make the decision permanent. I think four is the stopping point, though.... I think....

  2. We thought we were done after #2, but it seems that we weren't.

At three, we both realized we were outnumbered...

'Course, now I'll probably have baby withdraw.:grin:

  3. For me, numbers 2 and 3 came so close together that I was so overwhelmed I probably should've been on suicide watch for the first 3 years. It's just gotten easier in the past year or so. I always said that if I'd known number 3 would be my last I would have enjoyed him more and not been so frantic and hurried - I would have left the floors dirty a little longer, let the laundry and the dishes sit and just held him more. Thank God for number 4 - the unexpected and lovely gift that gave me the chance to take each day slowly and enjoy each smile and baby giggle again (of course, it helps that the boys are old enough now to help out ;-) I don't know if I want another one but I sure love the ones I've got!

  4. My #2 is 2 1/2, and #3 is 9 months. I know what you mean about being busy!

Babies are so great...then they turn into *gasp* toddlers!:wink:

  6. Thanks for sharing that bit of info with the world. However I am recovering nicely and should be playing piano again soon!
